A message from the founder:
ROAR is in the baby stages currently, you might call it a growl. Or a snarl. What’s taking so long? What’s the deal? What even is ROAR?
All good questions.
I’m Sean, founder of this… thing. I have a 2 year old that I’m chasing around, a 9-5 that I’m trying to figure out, a house with a list of projects, and about 3 minutes a week it seems to do anything other than breathe, eat, and sleep-ish. These are probably similar situations you’re in, and that’s great because it means you’re in the right place.
ROAR is a project I am starting for dads, as a dad. I’m convinced this role is more important than anything I might do in life, and I feel the burden to share, impact, and challenge other dads to feel the same. Through different aspects like community, digital content, and special creative projects, I want to inspire dads to pursue their kid(s) with an unrelenting love and everlasting might. I want to make an impact so deep that only deep can answer back (psalm 42:7).
Of course, I need to figure out how to do that with 3 minutes a week, and that’s my challenge now. BUT in the meantime, you might enjoy reading a bit of the blog and keeping up with some of these ideas as they sprout.
I’d also invite you to give your reflections to this survey - it asks some thoughtful questions on why and what being a dad is. It helps me understand the immeasurable weight this role holds.
Look, there’s a ton more to come, but right now this splash page is what I can give you knowing my conscience doesn’t want to just put unfinished crap out. So, thanks for visiting, please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any thoughts, and I’ll keep dadding.
Sean
